If you are experiencing problems
If you are experiencing problems using our website, you are most likely using a version Internet Explorer that is older than version 7.

This website is built using standard xhtml code and works correctly on all browsers which are standards compliant, i.e which follow the rules set out by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) which is the body that oversees the web.
This should mean this web site will work as it supposed to, regardless of the browser you use.
Unfortunately, this is not the case with Microsoft browsers. Microsoft has seen fit to largely ignore the web standards set by W3C - no doubt due to its dominance of the desktop market in the last 15 years which has lead to its arrogant and uncompromising behaviour - and to flout the rules.

This web site has been extensively tested on Windows, MacIntosh, and Linux machines using Firefox, Safari, and Konqueror, and works well on all of these. It has also been tested successfully using Internet Explorer version 7 on Windows XP.
Internet Explorer 6, because of its non-standard interpretation of xhtml, incorrectly displays some parts of the web site. As usage of Internet Explorer 6 is rapidly diminishing (as of today 01 June 2009, it stands at 15% - one in every 7 users have it), it is neither feasable nor desirable to stoop to its inferior standards. But don't take my word for it - check out the figures yourself at W3 Schools.

How do you tell which version of Internet Explorer you are using? Just click on the 'Help' option on the menu bar at the top of your screen, and click on 'About Internet Explorer'. This will open a window telling you which version of Interent Explorer you are using. If you cannot see the menu bar (the one with 'File' 'Edit' etc.) then you are more than likely using version 7.

As a Web Developer I'm fed up with having to bend over backwards just so my code (which is totally standards-compliant) will work properly on Internet Explorer. Enough is enough. An individual who constantly flouts the rules set down by society is not left get away with it. So why should a company be left get away with it?

So if you are experiencing problems using this web site, the easiest solution is to stop using Internet Explorer altogether and move to Mozilla Firefox. It won't cost you anything - just go to Mozilla Firefox and download it. You won't look back.
